People are gonna have a crap ton of shit to talk, but the thing is- you won't know what your job is until you make it through training. army mos 35F intelligence analyst, army intelligence promotion point cut off scores for promotion to E5 sergeant and E6 Staff sergeant. ago by JasonPanay Choosing MOS: 35P vs 35M vs 35W So I go to MEPS in a week and am planning to reserve a intel / 35 series job. The reason I signed was because I took my contract to some older people that knew what the fuck they were doing in life, and they didn't have ANY information on what I would be doing but confirmed it was legit and it was a career that was solid. ![]() And my recruiter had no idea what it was either. By far, 35N is the best mos you would never, ever, ever realize. I ended up being cross trained in another mos, didn't have to extend my contract, was deployed a lot, and the entire time had a way different experience in the big Army then anyone outside my mos. Both these scenarios are super effective in weeding out the soldiers that don't have the traits a 35N that gets picked up by group, sent to selection, tasked to fucking crazy ass South America for the most badass assignment you never knew existed has. At their first duty station: They either get sloppy because they're surrounded by super smart World of Warcraft dorks who are totally in THIER dream assignment or they panic, freak out and say "Fuck this shit, I wanna go infantry". A ton of people wash out and have to reclass to the needs of the Army. During AIT: The training is horrifically intensive and stupid confusing. This is where most people I've seen get tripped up. If you are a shit hit soldier, can run, aren't fucking stupid, dont get caught in a training environment for ANY FUCKING reason, want to jump out of planes, and can maintain a security clearance, have patience like nobodys business, know how to shut the fuck up and stay silent even when EVERY INDICATOR FOR THE ENTIRE AIT TRAINING EXPERIENCE INDICATOR LOOKS LIKE YOU'VE JUST MADE THE WORST FUCKING MISTAKE OF YOUR LIFE, then you'll be able to pretty much determine what your military career trajectory is. ![]() You'll here more bullshit in the military then you wouldn't believe. I know, I know, there's a gigantic pissing contest between everyone in any 35 series mos, but that's not relevant. You won't find crap about 35N until you actually become one.
